INTRODUCTION

Not every patient needs aggressive resurfacing to make the skin look fresher. Dull tone, early textural change, enlarged-looking pores and minor visible imperfections may respond better to a controlled rejuvenation approach that can be repeated with limited interruption to daily life. FracRevive® is Fotona’s efficient two-step treatment combining full-beam and fractional Q-switched Nd:YAG laser delivery. The full-beam component treats a broader field, while the fractional component creates focused microscopic treatment zones. Together, the two patterns provide complementary forms of stimulation without the recovery associated with deeper ablative resurfacing.

WHAT’S THE EXPERT SAY?

“I do not believe every patient needs a strong peel to improve skin quality. When the main concerns are dullness, mild uneven tone, pores or early texture change, a controlled Q-switched combination can be a better fit for someone who wants visible refreshment with limited downtime. The important part is choosing energy according to the skin rather than treating every complexion the same way.”

At Nida Esth’ International, treatment design is physician-led and individualized. The medical team has received professional recognition through Global Health Aesthetic / Global Health Asia Pacific and HELLO! Thailand awards in aesthetic medicine, laser technology and cosmetic care. These recognitions are part of the medical centre’s background and are not a guarantee of any individual treatment result.

WHAT IS IT?

FracRevive® is an efficient two-step Fotona skin rejuvenation treatment performed with both full-beam and fractional Q-switched Nd:YAG laser. Q-switched delivery produces very short, high-peak-power pulses. One step applies energy more broadly across the treatment area, while the fractional step divides energy into smaller treatment zones. This combination is designed to refresh complexion and refine texture while keeping visible recovery more limited than aggressive ablative resurfacing.

Personalization matters because the same laser platform can create different biological effects when pulse duration, energy, spot size, treatment density and number of passes change. Two patients may describe a similar concern but have very different skin thickness, anatomy, pigmentation tendency, previous procedures or tolerance for downtime. A physician therefore needs to select the treatment endpoint rather than simply copying a standard setting from one patient to another.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Full-Beam Q-Switched Treatment

A broad pass of Q-switched Nd:YAG energy is delivered across the treatment area. Depending on wavelength and settings,
this can support a clearer, more even-looking complexion and provide generalized skin stimulation.

Fractional Q-Switched Treatment

The fractional pass concentrates energy into separated microscopic zones. This adds a targeted remodeling stimulus for texture,
pores and minor imperfections while leaving intervening tissue relatively unaffected.

Controlled Recovery

Because the treatment is not designed as deep full-field ablation, visible recovery is generally more limited.
Temporary redness, warmth, dryness or sensitivity may still occur, and sun protection remains important.

WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT?

WHAT RESULTS
CAN I EXPECT?

The aim is improvement rather than a standardized transformation. Some changes may be appreciated relatively early, while collagen remodeling or tissue adaptation usually develops more gradually. The final result depends on baseline anatomy, age, skin or tissue quality, treatment parameters and individual biological response.

Long-term results are influenced by more than the treatment session itself. Sun exposure, smoking, skincare, hormonal changes, age, nutrition, sleep and future aging all affect tissue quality. Follow-up allows the physician to compare photographs, assess response and decide whether a protocol should be repeated, modified or stopped. Maintenance should therefore be individualized rather than scheduled automatically for every patient.

WHO IS IT FOR?

An ideal candidate is someone whose concern matches the mechanism of the treatment and who has realistic expectations about
a non-surgical laser procedure. A medical consultation is important when there is significant laxity, active disease, pregnancy, recent procedures,
medications affecting healing or other clinical factors.

• Dull or tired-looking skin
• Mild uneven tone
• Visible pores and early texture change
• Patients seeking rejuvenation with limited downtime
• Patients not requiring aggressive ablative resurfacing

A responsible treatment plan also considers what the laser is not designed to correct. Significant excess skin, advanced structural descent,
major volume deficiency, active skin disease or other medical conditions may require a different approach. Defining these boundaries helps
prevent over-treatment and allows the physician to decide whether laser rejuvenation, injectables, minimally invasive procedures or surgery
is the more appropriate tool for the severity and origin of the concern.

STEPS OF TREATMENT

STEP 1

Skin and pigment-risk assessment

STEP 2

Selection of Q-switched parameters

STEP 3

Full-beam rejuvenation pass

STEP 4

Fractional Q-switched pass

STEP 5

Cooling and soothing care

STEP 6

Post-treatment hydration and sun protection

Exact preparation and aftercare vary with the selected parameters. Patients should disclose recent procedures, medications and relevant medical history
before treatment. After laser procedures, avoiding unnecessary irritation and following physician-directed aftercare are important parts of recovery.

PERSONALIZED TREATMENT PLANNING

Patient comfort and safety are also part of treatment design. Sensation can range from gentle warmth to brief heat or a light snapping feeling depending on the mode.
Comfort measures can be used when appropriate, but the goal is not simply to use the highest possible energy.
The physician balances tolerability with an appropriate biological endpoint and the patient’s recovery needs.

At Nida Esth’, treatment planning is intended to be individualized rather than device-led. The program name describes a technology platform,
but the clinical result depends on how the physician selects treatment zones, energy, passes and combinations.
This is why consultation, photography and follow-up are part of the treatment process rather than optional extras.

FAQ

Is FracRevive® an ablative resurfacing laser?

No. The protocol is based on full-beam and fractional Q-switched Nd:YAG delivery rather than conventional deep ablative resurfacing.

The full-beam pass provides broader stimulation, while the fractional pass creates focused microscopic treatment zones. The combination addresses complexion and texture in complementary ways.

The fractional component can help refine the appearance of pores and mild texture irregularity in suitable patients.

Fotona describes the treatment as having minimal downtime. Temporary redness, warmth, dryness or sensitivity can still occur.

Q-switched technology can interact with pigment, but pigment disorders are complex. Melasma and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation risk require individualized medical assessment.

Intervals depend on indication, treatment intensity and skin response. A series may be recommended when gradual improvement is preferred.
